Their employment and or educational activities will begin to be affected by their lack of communication and participation. Dealing with others, even dealing with themselves becomes nearly impossible. Life loses purpose and any light at the end of the tunnel so they begin to think about death. To avoid this unhappy result early detection is essential. Depression victims can find assistance.
